To achieve the environmental goals, reuse Recycle IT has partnered with a number of project developers who are able to provide the business with quality environmental projects around the world into which they can invest.

Additional long-term benefits, with Reuse’s business model, include on-going employment, opportunities to educate across the communities and better local infrastructure that helps to improve the whole economy.

India – Wind Power

The project consists of different small scale wind farms, located in rural regions of India’s Southern provinces of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, and in its Western provinces of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Greenhouse Gas emission reductions are achieved by the replacement of fossil fuels currently used in the Indian power generating system and by providing rural households with clean energy to avoid firewood consumption. Indonesia - Geothermal Power Plant

The project activity comprises of a capacity upgrade of an existing Geothermal Power Plant from 3 x 55 MW to 3 x 60 MW, which generates and supplies electricity to the connected grid, the Jamali Grid. This project promotes & increases the utilisation of geothermal energy as a renewable energy source all over Indonesia. Greenhouse gas emission reductions are achieved through updating its capacities, thus avoiding the burning of fcoal for the growing demand in Indonesia. View PDF

Honduras - Small Scale Hydropower Project

The Babilonia Hydroelectric Project consists of a run of river hydroelectric project with high pressure tubes of 750 and 600 mm diameter and a length of 3,200 meters, a power house and 2.5 km of power transmission lines, which are installed along existing roads connecting the plant to the national grid. Greenhouse Gas emission reductions are achieved by replacing fossil fuels with sustainable energy, thereby avoiding the release of CO2 into the atmosphere. View PDF

Thailand - Wastewater Treatment with Biogas Production

The project activity involves installation of an anaerobic wastewater treatment facility, based on Up Flow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket technology, at a starch manufacturing plant where large amounts of waste water are being produced. The facility enables the capture of methane, reducing the emission of these strong Greenhouse gases. The project utilises the captured methane as fuel in existing heat generating devices in the plant replacing heavy fuel oil.

China -  Landfill Gas to Energy Conversion Project

The plant is today collecting the landfill gas and subsequently processing it into electricity which is fed into the Suzhou City local power grid. Greenhouse gas emission reductions are achieved by the project activity through avoidance of methane emissions from the landfills to the atmosphere and through displacement of fossil fuel based electricity from the grid.
